Welcome to Dan Kapanke for State Senate!

Western Wisconsin is full of humble and hardworking people. Now, more than ever, we need a strong, common sense voice in Madison. I will work hard to strengthen all that makes our region great and find solutions to the challenges we face.

As a local business owner, I know creating jobs, training our workforce, and bringing steady leadership are important for the continued success of Western Wisconsin. I’ll fight to make sure you keep more of what you earn and not allow the Madison machine keep a penny more than it needs.

I was born and raised here, and had the honor of serving my neighbors and friends in the past. I will again be that person you can count on to represent you

Together, and only together, we will keep Wisconsin moving Forward.

~ Dan

STRONG COMMUNITIES

Strong families are the key to strong communities. Families who care for each other, have opportunities to learn, and have jobs they enjoy while providing a good life are essential to tight-knit communities.

STRONG ECONOMY

The men and women of Wisconsin are some of the best, most dedicated workers in the country. From the young people starting their first job to the men and women working in the diverse industries in our great state to the couple running their family business, the people of Wisconsin are the backbone of our economy.

STRONG INFRASTRUCTURE

Today’s strong communities need safe and reliable roads, bridges, and highways to keep our economy growing. Tax dollars intended for western Wisconsin infrastructure are an essential role of our government to keep our communities rolling.

Today I would like to thank the teachers and professors who have worked to adapt their curriculum to an online format in such a short period of time, all while working to keep their own families safe and healthy during this tumultuous time.

Teaching under normal circumstances is no easy task, and our teachers have worked extra hard to keep our kids productive and safe as the coronavirus continues to affect the U.S.

If you have the time, reach out to a teacher and thank them for their tremendous work. We appreciate you!

As the Governor and legislature sort out voting procedures for the upcoming election, I wish to encourage everyone to vote on April 7th.

I want to thank our local clerks who are doing an outstanding job at giving everyone an opportunity to vote early.

It is important that everyone is as safe as possible so please practice safe social distancing. If you do not plan on going to the polls, visit myvote.wi.gov to request an absentee ballot.

Today I want to honor construction workers in our communities that continue to work for us, no matter the challenges that they may face. These great men and women face stressful and physically demanding situations.

Through rain or shine, our persistent construction workers work under strict circumstances such as tight schedules and sometimes dangerous worksites.

Thank you to these hard working men and women for all that they do for our communities! You are the builders of America.

We appreciate you!

In case you missed it, the MacIver Institute posted a 10 year follow up on the impacts from Act 10.

Our state was in a dire financial situation 10 years ago. Because of the tough decisions we made the state has saved over $12 billion dollars and is currently in strong financial shape. More importantly, thousands of jobs were saved.

Take a look at the article below.

Today is Vietnam Veterans Day. Call or write to a Vietnam Vet and thank them for their service. They sacrificed so much.
